Melissa is a wonderful teacher. Her mellow style and the measured pace of her delivery makes it very easy to follow along. She introduced me to the language of UX, which has now etched itself into my consciousness. I find myself looking at everyday things in whole new ways. The insights from the course were invaluable. It was like being in a live-action website audit. I have a new appreciation for well-designed forms and I found myself constantly pausing to go fix something on my website, including deleting entire paragraphs from my Home page (there was just too much text). Finally the resources and references she provides are most helpful. I am grateful to have learned about the Hemingway editor and have saved a number of her checklists for future quick-reference. I recommend this course to anyone who has ever tried to build and maintain a website of their own. (Full Disclosure: Melissa and I have worked together in various capacities over the last several years. That does not affect the fact that she is very good at what she does.)
